Zetland

Zetland is the face of Sydney’s future. Once an industrial heartland, the enclave is blossoming into a modern, vital and technologically engaged community.

The new Green Square neighbourhood, centred on Zetland and surrounding suburbs, is just four kilometres south of Sydney’s CBD, and it will be home to a purpose-built library, a village green and a huge swimming pool complex. The Gunyama Park and Aquatic Centre will have a free-form heated pool as well as indoor pools, a café, a yoga deck and a crèche.

CITY LIVING

Zetland is a place of gleaming apartment blocks, many with panoramic park and city views seen through enormous windows or from airy verandahs. Avenues of towering lemon-scented gums and streets planted with native trees and bushes crisscross the district, weaving around a number of children’s playgrounds and large and small parks enclosing sunny nooks of greenery.

Everyday living is easy in Zetland. The five-level East Village shopping centre houses a supermarket, a medical centre, a gym and dozens of retail shops and it’s an easy stroll from many of the new luxury developments in Zetland.

GETTING AROUND

With the airport and Sydney’s CBD nearby, Zetland is at the centre of a web of transport choices. The suburb is served by the Green Square railway station and a number of bus routes, as well as cycle-ways and newly upgraded pedestrian pathways.
